Utah Leadership Institute - Executive Development

The Department of Human Resource Management has invested considerable energy in Executive Development, in alignment with Governor Huntsman’s performance initiatives. Executive workshops focusing on government performance philosophy and perspectives have been conducted in conjunction with the Annual State Management Conference. These events are in prelude to a comprehensive executive development program-- the Utah Leadership Institute.

The Utah Leadership Institute comprises a menu of resources to executives including executive coaches and leadership development events focused on executive competencies. The program is based on extensive research by the U.S. Office of Personnel and benchmark states. The Utah Leadership Institute’s specific curriculum and delivery methods are tailored to meet the needs of executive directors and their leadership teams.
